Thread: How to find readers for your blog?

Perhaps one of the most discussed topic there ever was, yet the question will always remain.

Once again, Darren Rowse, professionnal as he is, impressed me very much with this post:

There, he lists all the articles he ever wrote on how to get people to read your website. I won't copy and paste every single tip he shares, But I just wanted to know what are YOUR suggestions to get those readers... and how to convert them into loyal ones.

Now, how do You find readers for your own blog?

I find them mainly from other blogs by blog commenting.

Forums are also a great place to get readers.

Twitter is a pretty great place to get some loyal readers.

Not too sure about that. I think people just randomly click links on Twitter and never return.

Chat rooms are also a good place. If you target the right ones..bingo!

If you have a bunch of followers that interact with you, chances are they will visit your blog to learn more about you. In turn, if you link effectively (i.e. with a catchy title) then you can get people to read your blog posts and actually interact with your blog.

one of the most effective way is to visit forums

I used to love Mybloglog.com. People are ready to network there, and it's easy to find your niche.

Yeah, many people use My Blog Log.

I think I first found out about it from your email signature, if I am no wrong.
