I started a blog.
I believe I'll post when I've something really good to say - not crap rehashed information, 5 ways to get indexed - blah blah.
Quality and consistency, a good blend ftw.
Yeah, I personally feel that consistency is the key. I comment on one blog where the timings are all over the place... sometimes I'll have to wait 2 weeks for them to post, sometimes two days, sometimes a week, you get the idea. As a result I stopped checking back and only go on there if he tweets about it.
This is a very good point. Consistency should be maintained. I think a couple of posts a week are easily achievable and that's not too inconsistent. Whatcha think?
Yeah, I suppose the more traffic/the more established your site is, the less it matters as you'll still be getting plenty of social bookmarking and search engine traffic. Look at Rauru... he didn't post for about a month and his blog actually got
MORE successful!
No, we're still fetching the content for the human.
More successful, people have their own metrics. Thing is What's the use of that traffic? Neither are you capturing it, nor are you benefiting them with a solid post, and you're admitting you were more successful? BS.
If there is money raining, and you're spreading the news that money is raining but not actually taking any of it - it's foolish.
But that's just my opinion.
Build businesses, not quick money makers.
