I have setup a plan where I will have a series of posts that come 1 a day, then a couple days rest, then another series and so on. This gives me time to write new posts. My first 30 posts have been planned, only about 6 or 7 written so far.

Steven here, my friends.
Believe in God.
Anyway, but don't update you blog too much. This is will be bad. I'm subscribe in some blog, it's updated everyday. The problem is, that blog can update 2-3times per day. It's so annoying because make my inbox contain many blog-subscription from that site. The content of that blog not always interesting. Maybe that blog owner forcing himself to update blog as much as he can, so the quality is forgotten
Steven - That's an odd way of doing it, would be interesting to hear from you how that works outUsually I'd recommend doing a post at set intervals, but that's a pretty good idea you have there, so keep up updated on how it goes please.
Akira - I think over-blogging is a massive problem amongst bloggers. I think it's mainly the big name bloggers such as John Chow who do this though as they will publish a load of reviews as they get paid for it![]()
that's why, people who already popular sometime forget about the quality of content/make post only because it's earn their a bucks
Hopefully if we're success and our blog popular, don't be blogger like that. Update too much, place too many ads because there is many advertiser wanna advertising, etc...
To be honest, if you've made your blog that successful I think you have every right to post as often as you want with as many adverts as you want. I'm gonna take a guess and say that JC and problogger spent an incredible amount of time getting where they are today, so I think they deserve the extra cash they'll create from it.
That said, I wouldn't recommend a small blog to post that often - if anything it'll make it worse.
Fair enough, but you also want to consider that they should also strive to preserve their success. Then again, Problogger has that book deal going and JC has...well, lots and lots of money. :P I think now is the time for them to build up a reserve, and then coast.
@Steven
Weiiirdd update schedule. So it's like watching a television series season all in one day, and then waiting a month for the new series. You might give your readers withdrawl!![]()
@simon
and do you know that JC name is not too good right now? Many people said that quality of JC blog is decreased. If you want the detail, you can search it on google. I'm sure you will find it.
PS: i think i will stop my subscription to that blog (which update the content too often)
I often publish a post when I'm in mood and it usually completed only for 10 minutes when I'm writing at wp dashboard lol. But, I concerned to the quality of post not a quantity.
At the moment, I got blogger's block.![]()
Brilliant philosophy to have. That said, you should strive to put out a post at consistent intervals as it adds some structure to your blog. For your block, you should try the following tips:
- Look at other people's blogs and see what they're posting about, then put your own twist on it
- Do an interview with someone - people are usually more than willing to be interviewed, and it makes a great post
- Link Love - find other blogs in your niche and link to the really good posts
There are a few more methods, but those three should keep you going for a week or two![]()
well..instead of BUSY (refers to personal 'busy' definition of course ^.^)..lazy, and so on..emotional condition's also play role in postponing my blog archive hehe..
you know when you became sad, after breaking up, or just met a cocky guy whom I'd love to punch at his face..I sometimes couldn't find any idea to post..I find it hard to describe what I felt at the time the moment happened and when the moment's gone, my writing spirit's also gone..
do you guys ever been in such condition??
