  1. #11
Currently I have 4 blogs and I update them 3-4 times per week.

That's always the consideration. I have five blogs and I'm updating three of them at the rate of 1-2 posts a month. At the rate of one post every three days I would need 750 posts a year.

I'm doing the same thing as you with working on another site. The blogging consumes too much content.

The blogging takes up a lot of time and energy, but if you are making money through your blog posts then it seems effortless. If I knew I was being paid to get up in the morning and log into my Wordpress blogs to post new and unique content, I would be updating every day to share new content with my users!

Even though I am in front of my computer everyday, at least 6 hours a day, I am not getting time for my blogs which I intend to change from this year..

I try not to ever force a post. I like to post as often as possible (once a day, ideally), but if I can't think of any exciting content, I would rather skip that day then write something that isn't really worth posting.

I think that blogging is a better promtional tool than a way to make money. Most bloggers don't cover the costs of link building, research and content creation. Research is a big consideration. Some topics you are able to turn out a post in 5 minutes. For more technical topics, the content creation can be more tedious and time consuming. So at that point, the blogger would be better off creating a large tech site than publishing the articles in drips and drabs on a blog.

Funny that you posted that, xD. I just published a post today:
Why Do 99% of Bloggers Fail?

  8. As frequent as possible. On weekends when I do not have any appointment going on, I will at least put the effort to write at least 3-4 articles to post during weekdays.

The marketing is an important factor for the blogger. I think that many bloggers have little time to do the needed marketing and at the same time update their blogs. Blog marketing is probably even more time consuming than the content creation. Just a guess, but you probably need 2 hours of SEO for every hour spend on blogging.

  10. I try to update my personal blog at least two or three times a week. But that still depends on whether I am free or not.
