Thread: How Often do you Update Your Blogs?

2 or 3 times for a week, sometimes...

I've started updating my blogs a lot more! I have noticed that all of the successful blogs started off updating their blogs at least once a day, and I am striving to do this as well. I find that it will bring in more traffic, repeat visitors interested in my articles, and just general good things

I update my own blog at least two to three times weekly. If you are very successful like John Chow, and generating more traffic and revenue, you can update at least one per week but in an attractive way.

I like to update my blogs with small post a few times weekly - no more then once a day, maybe once every 2 - 3 days.

Large blog post (1,000+ words) are only posted a few times a month.

Yeah when i'm bored i go through other blogs that interest me...umm, i update mine at least
once or twice a week.

Well, I try to update my blog at least two times a week.

For new blogs, I update them almost everyday. For older blogs, I update 2-3 times in a week. I have about 10 blogs and it's hard to update them all everyday. From what I know, new blogs need consistent content in order to be noticed by search engines.

Adding a lot of new content really helps a new blog or a dead one.

I am guilty of posting enthusiastically to new blogs that I create and leaving them for dead a few months later. Probably because I keep on having new ideas and can't seen to stick with the same blog all the time.

I guess, closing down old blogs and re-using the content would be one option?

It sounds like a good idea. Use a 301 permanent redirect from the old blog post to the new one.
