I'm planning to have a blog that has paid members and non-paid members, so I am thinking about what term to use to describe the free members.

Paid members () can be called premium members but what about the free members()?

The actual blog will offer packs of data per month to subscribers where the paid members get the full package and the "others" get a taster.

So what should I refer to the free members as?

How about 'Regular or contributing members'?

What about "Junior Member"?

What about standard member and full member? These are the ones that I like the most.

I'd do contributing members and premium members. But, your ultimate goal is to convince them to become premium members, right?

You could always go with the Star Wars theme with "apprentice" and "Jedi" ...
or sports:
"Rookie" and "All Star"

Call them what they are:
