Quick Tips for Blogging Success

Am I the only one who noticed that he doesn't follow tip #1? It states to "Create a Niche-Specific Blog URL" and yet he is running his blog on blogspot. That's not exactly niche specific. And even with the tech-whatever in front of it, it's still not niche specific considering he's teaching us how to blog rather than about tech. Tip #1 should always be "Buy your own damn domain name."

I don't understand what it means to be a successful blogger. Maybe it is where you blog for fun and it doesn't stress you out or bore you to tears? So many bloggers seem to give up adding to their blogs. Maybe because the pro blogger model only works for the top-tier bloggers?

A successful blog would be different in my opinion i.e. it would meet the objectives of a plan such as to be profitable. So in this case, the blog may be comprised of mostly static content with no attempt at growing a readership, but rather gaining search engine prominence for keywords.

Totally agree with Mafiamaster. You should always have your own domain if you are dead serious in succeeding with your Blog.

Your own domain name is definitely key. I wouldn't waste my time building a blog and building links to a blog on someone else's domain.

Also, you have to build links to every blog post--not just links to your home page.
