    Success with auto blogging?

Anyone had success with autoblogging? By success I don't mean to generate income or monetize but simply to put up a self-serving autoblogging platform that does not look automated to the untrained eye.

I've approached it twice and the results were only mediocre. It's hard to pull in meaningful content, make it unique through automation, and spit it out in a meaningful manner again.

Anyone want to share their experience?

You seem to be contridicting yourself. First of all, you imply that you don't want to do this to "generate income or monetize" the autoblogging site... that your reasons for doing so would be "self-serving". Yet if your only goal is to serve yourself, why would it need to "not look automated to the untrained eye"? Why would you need to "make it unique through automation" if its only for you?

I have yet to see an autoblogger that took the time to create a site full of duplicate content as a public services. All have something to gain or they wouldn't be doing it. Either they are running Adsense ads or using it to sell links on or embed links to their on sites or something... all of which, when you come right down to it, are "monitizing" the site... some directly, some indirectly.

    Hi,

Personally, I don't think it would be a nice idea to use auto blogging for any purposes since search engines would usually be smarter than those tools, IMO. Also, blogging is my favorite effective method for back linking purpose, especially on self hosing domains.

Well, keep this in mind about content on auto blogs.
    Google could care less.
Hey, look at Huffington Post, who do not put original content on their blog.
But instead take stories and just condense them down.
Look at their success (13 million and counting per month for visitors).

I have several auto blogs and to be truthful, without advertising them they get good visitor counts.
