Yes, there are a lot of blogs in that niche, but the vast majority of them are crap. All you need to do is make a good blog with quality content and good advertising, and it's well worth the while. I never said he couldn't make a successful blog. I'm just saying, it could get boring, or you could run out of stuff to talk about. Dude could make an exceptional blog and rank above the rest, but it's up to his credit.

And making money from blogging IS easy. There's always going to be someone looking to grab a 10cent ad, or someone who clicks on your adsense link. Making a lot of money is hard. :)

Haha, don't mean to sound stuck up, but I don't count 10c as money ;p

To be honest, I can't see anyone running out of ideas in the MMO niche as there are so many things to write about, even if it's not a unique idea you can still put your own twist on things. Then there's the opportunity to make lists (eg. 100 best posts), do link love posts and also interviews. (BTW, all of this is from my latest post, 'Article Ideas for those uninspired days, which you can find here)

i'm blogging about my daily life (in 2 languange --> indonesian and english) and blog about contest information

hum.. i just bloggin bout computer stuff and sports ( martial art ) things.

really like bout that 2 topics...

but dunno.. sometimes for me the idea of making blog post is very good.. but sometimes.. really really stuck on idea T_T

How is the blog doing, if you don't mind me asking? The 'personal blog' niche seems to be dead at the moment. I think people would much rather read information than what's happening in someone's life, especially now that everyone is so busy working harder for their money.

I used to blog about technology, but now stopped.

Hey simon, i run my personal blog also, it's here : http://from20.blogpsot.com (an english version of startingfrom20.blogspot.com).

Just to remind, not all blog is purposed as making money project. And about this kind of blog will dead, i think it's never die. Because beside making money, there is some people who love to make a lot of friend. In my country, there is many blogger story which published in a conventional book form.

And remember, blog in the first is purposed to be used as diary.

I agree with Simon that people now try to make their blog more interesting not just talking about life or just diary. But rather to put some additional posts about some experience earning money online. That could be from PTC or may be PTP forum that pay us for every posting that we made.

I honestly couldn't care what people happen to be interested in, my personal blog is for my own benefit. It adds to my branding and it's a great outlet for creativity and writing practice.
