Sorry, I wasn't intending to put down people who owned personal blogs, I was just stating that I've seen a drop in interest for personal blogs and was seeing if the poster had been affected.
In my opinion, there are two types of personal blogs:
- "Very Personal" - This is where the person will write about their day to day life, talking about their haircuts and how they're annoyed with the greasy guy at work. In my opinion, these are dying out as people are stopping reading them
- "Just Personal" - I class these as the ones where the owner will discuss matters regarding to their interests, for example, making money online. BUT the author will also give plenty of opportunity to get to know their readers on a more personal note. These are, in my opinion, much better, and, if anything, they're growing in popularity.
If anyone's still confused about what I mean, here's two examples of number two that I think are amazing blogs:

www.Asnio.com
Sorry for the excessive use of the words "in my opinion", but I just wanted to make it clear this is how I feel and if anyone feels differently thats fine. I'm not saying the above is a definative thing, just the way I see it.
I'm understand what your mean simon
Maybe very personal blog fans will dropped year by year, but i think that drop is not a problem for the blogger, since their happy enough if people read it even with no leave a comments.
And i think the reader of very personal blog never die...
It's because, sometime people is get interested in read soft-topic
Thanks for clarifying.I guess you could call my blog "very personal" except I try to elaborate on my thoughts and how they help me in my endeavors.
Yeah, I'd definately class your personal blog as one that's very personal. It talks about what you've done and how you're feeling. I think if you posted the odd article in there about writing tips (or even told a story, then connected it with a fact/tips based article), you'd be classed - in my eyes - as a "just personal" blog![]()
