Steven here, my friends.
Believe in God.
I have one make money online blog, another one on life.
I also have smaller blogs which are not worth talking of ;p
I do not blog as of now.
I am planning to start a blog on blogging!
In the past I've owned a number of blogs in niches varying from car insurance to health matters to weight loss (and many more). It really is that diverse.
At the moment, however, I only run one blog which is all about making money online (see my sig), but I'm also an author on another blog, which is about blogging.
I blog about anything interesting that I learn, mainly Internet How to's and tips, blogging tips, personal development, reviews on useful tools, etc!
I would highly recommend picking a different topic unless you're extremely passionate about blogging and the logistics there of. It currently feels like EVERY blog is about blogging, just saying. But hey man, go for your dreams.
I blog about writing, including writing articles, books, freelance writing, etc. I also have a personal blog.
Hmm, I think I'm going to disagree with this point (sorry! ;p)
A lot of people say that the blogging/make money online niche is saturated and you therefore cannot make a really successful blog, and I really disagree with this point.
Yes, there are a lot of blogs in that niche, but the vast majority of them are crap. All you need to do is make a good blog with quality content and good advertising, and it's well worth the while. Once you start doing the same things as the crap bloggers who expect their blog to make them money instantly, you'll start failing.
Corey and Simon both of you'll have your views and are actually right!
Blogging is maybe saturated, nut if ya have good posts like on TBP ;p things can work. But MMO has huge potential!
And you must remember:
haha^ I meant you cannot sell your blog for 1k without spending anything on it, HIGHLY unlikely. If you want some, you have to spend some. - Farrhad A
Agree with that point a LOT!
I find the main problem with the MMO niche is that it's full of newbie bloggers who have seen that ProBlogger, JC and the rest of those guys have made a fortune from blogging about making money online, so therefore think it's easy. Then, when they realise it isn't easy to make a profit from no work, they give up.
Even if you don't spend any money on the project, you're spending your time.
I once thought that making money from blogging was easy, until I tried it. Now I have been proven wrong. Lol.
