What do you think of this comment policy?

One of the blogs I regularly read, recently came up with this:

At first, I was OK with that because I understand that using keywords as our name will help our Off-page SEO. So, my comment policy has been updated. Comments with keywords in the Name field will be de-linked.

Generally, I do not use keywords in my name. But honestly, I disagree with him. As a reader is taking out time to comment on his blog and every comment raises the value of the blog. His this decision is not a good one I think.

What do you think? What are your views?

I think, it is his choice whether he wants to de-link keyword comments or not. After all, it is his blog and it is already mentioned in his 'policy', so you have to abide by the policy when you comment.

Well, I think, first time visitors cannot read every blog's comment policy. And if the comment is adding value to the blog, I think it should be accepted.

EDIT: I guess everyone has a different point of view. :D

I'd agree with what Keshav said.

And, well I won't like to comment or take a dig at someone else's thing. It's his / her blog and he has all the rights to do whatever he wants to. Plus mentioning that in the comment policy is a step forward.

He said he doesn't want people to comment for link-backs, so be it. :nerd:

Actually I was in a group chat and everyone felt that such a policy is not needed.
