I love the products on that site. Some big ticket items too!

In regard to the constant scrolling effect. That will be Javascript using Ajax to pull new items from a database. I've seen this effect numerous times so maybe a JQuery script available somewhere? Using Chrome and pressing F12, you can examine what is going on in the Network tab and find that Infinity.js (infinity.js) is being used.

I am sure they do. Yes I did find them with google but not a search I don't search with google. I'm tired of the same thing always on page one. However I use google for the images and they were on like line two for my search of Halloween costumes.

Anyway to know if that theme is for sale or free somewhere? Is that a plugin?

Or will I have to find someone that can clone the index page?

Bet you will have to find someone who can program the site the way you want and like that site has.

Lot of sites like that one do quite well with their email lists and rss feeds, thus they do not rely on google or other search engines that much, if at all.

The real trick with any site today is to build a list and get as far away from dependency on megaflake Google as you can.

The theme used with that site is a custom theme. I don't see too many links to plugins in the code, so the features are most likely built into the theme.

They do rank #1 in Google for a search for "Internet mall". That makes them a site worth studying.

One of the curious aspects is that they seem to focus quite a bit on extraordinarily expensive gadgets costing tens of thousands of dollars that no one is likely to buy, but the products are nonetheless very interesting. Also, all of the product posts are very short, sometimes only a few sentences. That defies current SEO content development logic.

I agree with marketing the site in a way that you are not dependent on any search engine. Become the next geico.

As far as that the site defies current SEO content development logic. I don't think that there is any SEO content development logic. In my way of thinking if you have a site that get 1000's a UV a day no matter how you set things up you will be listed. I feel that part of how your site moves in the ranking is UV.

Google seems to like these Giant well used sites and I think that is always why they end up on page one of the search.

That is why I don't use google search anymore.

    Birds of a feather.....

The current SEO logic I referred to is the amount of textual content per page. The current logic, as well as frequent Matt Cutts statements, says that you need at least 300 words per post in order to get that post to rank well. Most of the posts on that site are far less than 100 words.

It is not really a giant site, but it does look like a giant site. There are 2,270 pages in Google's index. Most sites like this are much larger. I've seen them in the 20,000 page range.
They have done a great job developing an independent following, which is the most important part of affiliate marketing and the hardest to accomplish. It has an Alexa rank of 15,698, which means they are getting a ton of traffic.

    Hi,

Matt Cutts is nothing more then a politician for google. Most of the time when he get done talking you still have no idea how they stand on the topic.

I have heard at least 300 words per post. I have made plenty of posts at 200 or less that made page one.

All just a big game and they change the rules as they see fit at that moment.

I agree. Their ranking algorithms have become so complex that I don't think they can predict the outcome. What makes it worse is that they don't seem to care about the damage they have done to millions of good quality web sites, especially small e-commerce sites.

There is definitely a disconnect between what they say a good quality site should be and what their automated algorithms determine to be good quality. After all the damage they have done, I have never found anyone who noticed any improvement in Google's search results.

Just found an interesting amazon script.
Not free, but heck, 15 bucks is okay.
First Time in The World - Auto Amazon Store, No Need Write Content, NO Plugin, Generate Auto Earning

May purchase, waiting for the developer to get back with me.

I mashed up this amazon site since I had the domain (great domain really!).
    The Doll Marketplace

But if the above script will work, will purchase and put on the site next week.

Although AGCZON does look like and interesting script, there is almost no chance that sites built with that script will ever rank well or drive any Google traffic. It uses titles and descriptions directly from the Amazon site. Google's Panda updates will prevent it from ranking well and the sites will eventually get banned.

Also, be aware of any encrypted or encoded PHP in any scripts purchased through Warrior Forum or any obscure web sites. The Warrior Forum is a haven fro scammers. It would be entirely different if they added a rating system for sellers, but they are not likely to do that because it would wipe out sales for most of their sellers. As much as I despise the lack of ethics in the Warrior Forum, I do buy a couple of WSOs there every month. About 1 out of 10 is a pleasant surprise. There rest are nothing but worthless junk. The overwhelmiong number of reviews in the comments are salted by people who got free copies of the WSO, so you cannot even trust most of the comments.

I used to make a lot of money with custom Amazon sites, but have given up on any script that uses Amazon descriptions. If you check the content on any of the pages against Google's index, you will likely find a couple hundred thousand pages using the same content. What it is not telling you is that at one time there were millions of pages using the same content. The difference is all of the sites that have been de-indexed.

I wrote scripts that re-arranged sentences, used synonym replacements, and scrambled content. Those all worked from about 2005, when Google first started to penalize duplicate content, until Panda came along. Panda wiped out all of the Google traffic.

You can try whatever you think will work, but test it first on a disposable domain. My recommendation is to never use a script like that on a good domain.

Dawg, I know you are an experienced player, so I think you understand that there is zero content on your doll seller site. None of the products or menus show up in the script when you use the Amazon's store script, so there is nothing for search engine's to index. Just look at the code for the pages. You have to add you own content to the pages.
