A simple site coded in php would work so you could have the menu, footer and body within seperate php files.
i used to have a custom script for creating page, change header image, footer n side bar then just copy the files to right folder, but my problem is those site is hard to get index by Mr.G, after two month submit google and still no index ...... my coder seem like poor in seo![]()
It was probably an issue with your on-page se optimization. Whether a page is built using PHP, or simply Wordpress it should still be able to get indexed.
If it's only 1 page, then a simple HTML page should do you fine. To make managing easier, you can split up the file into different template files and include them.
My general rule of thumb is 5+ pages means I will install WordPress. But otherwise its not necessary, since then you are just wasting database room, disk space, and bandwidth as well as CPU (it may not be a lot, but it adds up).

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

You don't need to submit your website to Google to get indexed. I'd go so far as to say that this would increase the waiting time to get indexed.
I find that pinging newly created websites works very effectively, and will have you indexed within minutes. I recommend Ping Device if you have a large number of websites/pages that you wish to ping all at once.
Furthermore, link build. Getting indexed does not weight importance. Ranking highly for your targeted keyword(s) does. You will naturally start to rank, but depending on how competitive your keyword(s) is, you'll struggle to make it to the top without a) providing your users with value, persuading other webmasters to link to you b) link building.
None of my one-page websites are running on a CMS.
Cheers, and best of luck!

Great post, another addition is the Quick Indexer and XML RPC Ping Tool over at NetBuilders Tools section
Thanks for the answer Will. Glad I'm not into stuff like that yet, but hopefully I can get it to that stage in a few years![]()
