Um if I understand your question properly. Just go with Word Press it makes awesome one pager sites as it has almost everything you could want with the thousands of themes and plugins available.

I've been using Wordpress for one-pages sites, mainly because it's so easy for people to theme and for people to add content. When I was building sites in plain HTML, they were hard for other people to update.

I now have around 1,000 copies of Wordpress running -- and I have no intention of switching to WPMu.

How do you go about when updating to a newer version? Running all sites seperate or do you have something else to update? Since that's the big advantage of WPMU no?

Well yeah. Why not just create one wordpress site, and add pages. Still works well, and it can still perform well in terms of SEO
