You will not be able to implement it effectively until it is supported by the majority of browsers. This moves along faster these days due to automatic updates, but it the past it took years before new browser features could be used effectively. Let's hope that both IE and FireFox follow the standards with these changes.
It looks like there are some good changes in HTML5.
