    Motivation/Inspiration for Content Building

I am at a point where I have a few content websites set up (i.e. more articles = more traffic from google = more $) and I also have a blog.

Ideally, I would like to be writing 2 pieces of content per day but am always struggling to do this (however have had uni work and assignments recently so that is a genuine excuse). In the next week or two when I am ontop of my uni work I would like to once again try to get into a good routine with content writing.

Does anyone have any suggestions or words of advice regarding motivation and on how to keep adding content?

One way that I would like to try out is to get a kitchen timer and write "FOCUS" on it. Set it to 1 hour, remove all distractions and well...... focus until the timer goes off. Two of these sessions per day is what I am aiming for.

Another method that I have tried previously is software called 'Darkroom' (can be downloaded here: Dark Room - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com). I used it for about a week but found it annoying because I had to convert my research from .docx to .txt's. And to be honest my spelling is not 100% either (no spell check). I was back to using MS word within a week but some of you may have different results.

Hope I have helped some of you and I hope you can do the same for me

    Thanks.

I think we all suffer from motivation from time to time, at least I do. To reduce this fact, I am trying to do only projects that I know about, interested in or preferably have a passion for.

I think my motivation now mainly comes from being penalized by Google so many times that my brain is now completely stuck in "must beat Google" mode.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Yeah, that's good advice. I currently have 1 site that I know about, 1 that I am interested in and 1 that I have a passion for and another just to make money- all require frequent updating of content. However, the one with the most content is the site that I know stuff about.

There really comes a time when we all loose our inspiration or our mood to create content, everyonce in a while, specially after some drooling days at the office, I take off and relax for a bit.. somehow recharge myself. after doing so, I would return to work, read on some updates and then, create my own content... don't know if it works for you but it did for me...

I would like to be writing 2 pieces of content per day

I also started with that mindset (not to say it is bad!) but now have steered myself towards producing more quality content over large quanity of lesser quality content .. it is really satisfying and motivating when people talk about your article...

For MFA type of sites..its always better to outsource your work...

Thanks for the advice. This week I am going to experiment with setting aside e.g. 4 hours per day instead of saying 2 articles per day (2 articles could take anywhere from 1 hour to 5 hours).

Put the passion back into your work. Do research on new stuff, learn more about what you already know, and go from there. I find that if I am lacking motivation then I need to really pick up and find a new passion for what I am already doing.

The best thing you can do is to make yourself understand that G shows up results after certain time period. Dont lure for every content profit.
