Very informative post. Thanks. I have one question, or I'd like to ask some input on an idea.

gvq dot org. green vehicle questions...A site dedicated to green/hybrid vehicles. pretty much a big information repository.

Now I've invested $30 here and there on articles and such, but I wanna see what other people think of the idea before I drop a few hundred on it. I've done some research and found some decent keywords. I don't want to spell out my entire plan on here, but curious on peoples thoughts.

"hybrid cars" was a good niche for me for awhile.

The site I was using had unrelated problems, but it's probably still a good niche.

In ROI% terms, I think that the following variant much work better. Just a thought, you probably know better Kim:

$100 - 10-15 article submissions ***
$100 - all the other link building strategies put together (directory, social media, comments, squidoo, etc)
$270 Total
