Please help me with my promotional idea...

Okay so, I run a writing blog and I was working on some new grammar workbooks for promotion when I thought up this idea:

After you complete each workbook, you can take a "test" online. If you score 100%, you get access to something awesome (software download coupons or premium wordpress themes...something like that).

Does that sound like a good idea? Also, do you know of any ways to contact some companies who might be interested in something like this?

    Let me know please!

I would be interested in discussing some kind of collaborated work. I can use a writer for some work I need to complete.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss this furthur.

    Edit:
I'm sorry for not addressing your question properly.

I think it is a good idea. Incentives are always encouraging but they must be applied in a way that does not put too much pressure on the individual to do well on the task at hand.

If you know a company that works in your field and they have a website with a contact page then I suggest you take advantage of a contact form provided.

Sorry for not being very helpful.

If you are going to be using a reward system for incentive, you need to relate the reward to the interest at hand. If people are using your workbooks specifically for the purpose of writing their own blogs, then wordpress themes might be an incentive; provided you can provide premium wordpress themes which they cannot just get somewhere else.

I actually think the idea works against the intent of using the workbooks. Someone taking an online course to improve their writing would seemingly be interested in...well...improving their writing and not in free wordpress themes.

If the objective is writing, work out a promotion which benefits both you and the student. After taking the course, or whatever level of achievement you set, have them write something which will then be posted to your blog. You can select what you consider the best of the submissions and reward them with something like free blog hosting or a Writer's Digest book of their choice. The prize is oriented toward their interest and you get content for it.

To get potential prizes, just contact the companies and ask them. Many companies would be willing to provide a prize in a contest which promotes their product.
