Thread: So for how mnay of you, this equation, "outsource writers + adsense = $$$" working ?

It pays of for me in the long run when I sell the sites. I currently write everyday for m by blogs, but thats because I have the time. Soon, I would be hiring a writer. If you have the type of content people are looking for, your on the ball .

They are taught that the government knows best and will take care of them. They are not in any way prepared to succeed on their own in the real world which they will discover after their graduation.

Until that entire generation of deadbeats is washed out of the American public school system, we as a nation will continue to under-perform academically. Unfortunately, those people are now the school administrators who are responsible for hiring new teachers -- so they are filling the ranks with even more of their non-performing ilk.

Generally as a time-saver and a force multiplier.

I started using outsourced writers a lot when I decided that I wanted one of my sites to reach 2,800 pages and I realized that I wasn't going to get that done myself.

Will, so how many articles do you get written now on a monthly basis?

I'm aiming at a few hundred articles per month for now.

That's a very good question that I'd like to know about as well. Everything I'm reading on this forum is suggesting you guys who make serious money are also forking out reasonable dollars to get your content and backlinks.

It's a far cry from where I'm at, I make between $2-3k and I'm exhausted doing that but don't quite have enough put aside to ramp up to the next level.

That number was the result of a simple calculation.

I asked myself "I am making $Y revenue on X pages. How many pages do I need to have in order to make $Z revenue?"

The answer was 2,800.

Right now I'm short on good ideas, so I am not pushing new projects very hard.

I've saved enough money that it's difficult to motivate myself with financial rewards right now; I need to find a project that really really really interests me.

This forum is doing a pretty good job of that right now, even if forums are financial non-performers.

Yup, I know the feeling
At certain point just earning more doesn't seem like much of a difference. Once you get to that comfort level you can lose much of the motivation, as you know your finances are secure. Happened to me when I first started making over $10k/month consistently with adsense, I got very lazy and couldn't motivate myself to do more work, needless to say adsense revenues dropped sharply.

Some say you should then try to set your financial goals on a substantially higher level.

Really? Learned something new, I always thought popular forums generated a very good income. Suppose if they pay the staff, revenue sharing and expensive servers and bandwidth they use could offset the profit.

Lee Dodd does very well financially focusing on forums, but the majority of forum owners do not.

I look at the level of effort required to make $10k/mo on a forum and $10k/mo on a content site and... it seems easier to build a dozen content sites.
