If we really think of it for a while, unique is something that has never been produced, invented, etc. We can not call the article unique, since a translated version of it exists.
Nevertheless, there is nothing such as duplicate penalty, so it really does not matter.
Translator plugins are a waste of time they translate absolute garbage. If I were to use this strategy, I'd develop a new domain with the appropriate ccTLD and have the content translated by a human.

It might be junk for humans, but certainly makes no difference for search engines. Even the creators of Mass Article Control advocate publishing these "junks" for greater online control.
