Hi,

How do you find what powers a site?

I want to use this command but I don't know how the site is powered?

Sample

"powered by pligg" inurl:register

Or if someone wants to make my life real easy. What powers Yahoo Answers?

It will tell you everything a site uses.

Now, let's take your specific request:
answers.yahoo.com - Website Technology Profile

Everything you need is there.

^ so where does it say what the sites powered by?

All of what it listed on that page is Greek to me

I even did ctl + F and powered by don't appear on the page.

Please pretend I am a two year old when explaining answers.

Yahoo Answers would be custom coded so I doubt they have any kind of script that is available to the public as its backbone.

So in other words.. Yahoo Answers is Powered by Yahoo Answers.

If you are looking for sites that use Yahoo Answers for some of their auto blogging content then you can search for "Powered by Yahoo! Answers" As they require that to be displayed somewhere if you are using their API to pull questions and answers.

That should get you 35000 results

I'm sorry. Maybe I'm confused, hehe.

What exactly are you trying to find out? The type of server? The script?
If you're trying to find a script name, you won't be able to, since it's a custom project specifically for that site... sorry.

Oh Ok I was hoping to find others site like Yahoo Answers. That I could leave comments on. And leave my link like I do their. I have a few best answers already and getting hit form them. So I was wanting to find other places like that to do the same thing.

So what is the code that I need use to search google? I tried searching for answers and that don't work.
