Sugar Rae Hoffman is often fun to read. I just came across this post from her. It's almost a year old, but it's still inspiring. It's about succeeding in business by deciding to.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
I've read her stuff before. It gets right to the point.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." -- Benjamin Franklin
A chic can get away with saying something like that
I read the post and almost spilled my coffee on myself when she said that sometimes you need to stick your pecker out. But I have some wisdom to over on that one. Before you stick your pecker out make sure that it wouldn't just be swinging in the wind.
Awesome, thanks for the link. Even though it didn't necessarily dissuade me from starting a blog-like site I always tend to have this lingering worry that blogging golden age is over, the top spots are all taken and therefore it's gonna be so tough to succeed... So I really needed to hear this.
The thing is.. it's probably wrong to assume that current top bloggers will always be the top bloggers. That's like assuming that the industry is standing still and readers never want for anything fresh, new and unique. Yet it's just the opposite online (and even elsewhere increasingly), change happens so fast that there's always an opportunity on the horizon to become the next big thing. New cycle is just around the corner, and then another and then another..
