Best Way to Sell a Website

Hi, I am planning on selling DiscussProxy.com for a fairly decent sum of money, and I was curious what the best way to sell it was.

I don't want to just go plain old PayPal, because a simple chargeback could cause me to lose a lot of money.

I need a website that is secure, will keep me from getting scammed, and does not take a large chunk of the profits.

escrow.com is a good service to transfer money securely.

Instead of searching for payment processors and all that other work, I guess it could be better for you to search for a buyer you can trust

There are many people online who you can trust. Ofcourse if you really don't want to use PayPal, than there is Escrow which is one of the safest ways like Nux says

If the buyer is in the US you could always accept a certified check and also allow them to view the sites stats etc in person providing that they are a serious buyer.

As far as I know, MoneyBookers has no chargeback.

I prefer using Escrow, it's the most secure way.

Like AQ said, instead of searching for alternative payment menthods/fool poof methods hunt for a buyer with good history. Of course there are ways like Escrow, direct transfer to your account, Western Union etc but then again you to find such a buyer you would have to compromise on the price of your website. Not everyone is a scammer buddy

So IMO, instead of hunting for good payment methods hunt for good buyers.

I don't think he is searching for alternative payment methods I think he is trying to find an automated auction site that deals with the payments like a sedo but for developed websites, I would suggest him ebay but IMO you wont sell it for a fair amount over there, If you find such a service please let us know about it!
