That's true Bogart, I could use a different way to send email promotion, but the principal is still the same.

Many e-commerce don't bother with email marketing, and honestly I will stick with that.

I bought many times products online, the sites are in my favorites and if I want something I go where my shopping experience was good. Sending me email promotions when I don't need any products will go to the trash, if they harass me with multi emails, I report or ban them.

So what is the point to bother customers when they are not ready to buy. If the business owner provided extra care to their customers, and quality products or services, then you have some repeat customers automatically.

If you do a seperate opt in for a quaterly newsletter it should be fine. Only the people that subscribe will receive it.

I sometimes get Business by contacting people that I haven't heard from in a couple of years.
