    Call for action sites

I would like to see some call for action sites which you believe work. Something that will convert visitors quickly into clients using your services. Something simple, yet to the point and effective.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

I fall for very different marketing spiel than most people.

I thought that Link Building Strategy from Link Building Expert Eric Ward was very compelling.

What I generally look for are clearly defined services and pricing. A lot of people hate sharing that information, and that makes me uncomfortable doing business with them.

I am a very time sensitive buyer. I want enough information to make a quick decision, I want to make a quick decision, I want an efficient sales process, I want the work to start quickly, I want reporting (efforts, results, or both) to be available but not obtrusive, and I want the billing process to be transparent and painless.

Speaking personally, I detest those long sales pages that don't provide any information at all and seem designed more to get my email address.

I'd recommend a short punchy paragraph or two that really solve the customer's need, and in SEO that means you might have several solutions, followed by some very specific services you provide, such as keyword research and suggestion, content editing/writing, backlink building etc. The package price and other deliverables should be mentioned, not hidden.

As Will says, a lot of Internet marketers are uncomfortable giving this information, mostly I suspect because they don't believe in their own product. The trick is to write your pages in such a way that the customer still believes your offer is competitive. This doesn't mean reducing your prices or having the lowest price, it simply means making your price seem like very good value because you know what you're talking about.

In SEO, too many 'experts' have no proof whatsoever on their sites that they can do the job, worse, they use jargon that seems designed to showoff their knowledge, but the average customer who wants SEO services probably doesn't know what these are. I'd be tempted to offer a free e-book of SEO terminology or basic steps customers can follow. You can provide this via a free quote form. They send your their site details, they immediately get an autoresponse with they download link, and a few hours later you respond with the quote and further proof of your ability.

Thanks a lot. SEO services is this particular site. I am interested in studying a bit more about what works in other niches as well, so if anybody has some info, feel free to post it.
    Real estate for example.
Something purely done in order to help generate leads, with or without a huge visible inventory.

Real estate is hard without a "huge visible inventory", because when I'm shopping for real estate on the web I usually only call or email when I see an interesting property.

You could cheat with a fake search application.

    • Tell the users to "click here" to search for properties.
    • Ask the user a bunch of questions -- enough to make them feel that they have invested time.
    • As the last question, ask for their email address. They will tend to give it up, because they don't want to lose all the data they have entered up to this point.
    • At this point, instead of showing them matching properties, explain that an agent will be in touch to introduce them to matching properties.

You may not make many friends, but real estate is a tough game.

Doesn't Costa Rica have some sort of MLS you can tie into?
