Question Do Honest People Usually Come Out Ahead In Business?

Do Honest People Usually Come Out Ahead In Business?
    Really?
Is honesty always the best policy?
Buzzmarketing expert Mark Hughes says Secrets are one of the 6 main keys to creating a great Buzz. Also, many companies big and small have well-guarded secrets, NDAs, Etc. so...,

How do you have secrets in your heart and mind and also remain totally honest?

    • What about being overly honest?

You have a product or idea which really could be the Next Big Thing.
    If you explain to people in an honest, calm, detailed manner the benefits of your ideas, then they might not pay attention for more than 5 seconds;

If you explain to people in an honestly excited, enthusiastic tone that you plan on making millions of dollars, many people will think you are crazy

    • What about being honest about "the system?"

People who are "born-rich" have many obvious advantages over the rest of us.

If someone was going to offer you $150,000 loan to start your business(es), and they made a comment about "trailer-trash" (for example), would you feel 100% free and open to question their bias against poor people, or would you keep quiet?

Please, don't feel a need to answer all the questions, any part is honestly fine.

It seems that the people that make the most money in business team up with each other and are probably honest within the confines of their peer group but not so much outside of it.

So yes, you can come out ahead by being honest IMO.

In-group out-group ethics are extremely effective.

In the long term, honesty is a whole lot easier. Remembering untruths you have told takes so much continuing effort.

You can be honest and have secrets. Honesty isn't about sharing everything with everyone, it's about being truthful when you do share.

I don't think I'd want to be in business with someone I couldn't communicate with in a fairly open manner.

Hey, someone puts up $150,000 or more for me to start my own business?
I would of course make sure that all is legal and there is a legal way to repay, etc.
And that they would have little to nothing to say about my business.
If they want to comment on trailer trash, forum idiots, etc?
So, I got their money and I start my business.

    Example:
Bill Gates comes to you and says here is $xxxxxxxx amount of money to start your own business.
Only thing is that you can not use any apple or google product.
    Would you do that?
Or go your own way humming to your ipod?
