Thread: ecommerce-good's to sell ?

Greetings

I am a new member here at NetBuilders you may have read some of my posts.
I have been interested in eCommerece for quite some time,but as i i dont have the start capital or the knowledge to start a business just yet I try learn as much as possible.
One interesting question that i cant seem to find a answer to is a basic one:
Where do you find the goods to sell ?
I hear all these people talking about shipping,market research,payment gateways etc.
Those are all important,but i think most people dont pay attention to the maybe most important one,when starting a eCommerce business,where am i suppose to get the goods that i am suppose to sell ?
For me i think the only option would be drop shipping and I heavent been able to find many companies that offer this service and sell the goods i would be interested in.
I want to excuse myself in advance for my bad English and hope that you will understand the question behind this thread and are willing to answer it,as i am sure that there are a lot of people who are wondering about this

Antony, you have to decide what products to sell first, then you can look for the goods at a wholesale price.

See thats the problem,everybody says that you have to decide first,but how am i suppose to decide when i dont even know what i can sell i think that its just wasting time

You can sell anything you like. We can't tell you what you can or can not sell.

If you have no startup funds you may want to look into a dropshipper so they can handle all the stocking, shipping, and other stuff that goes along with it.

You will make less money, but it's a good start.

Honest, no one can decide what u should sell and where to source.

Something might help :
1. Which product get ur attention ?
2. What you like ?
Choose something u like/interested, it make ur job easier ....

What are your hobbies? That might be a good place to start. Then search for drop shipper of that product.

Greetings and thank you for all your replies,but you dont seem to understand what i mean.
My problem is not what to sell,there are various things i would like to sell,for example gadgets i dont mean ipods,iphones,computer etc...but here where i live,since we were in betwen the iron curtain some trends never got to us.So people around here are still fascinated with thigs like rc cars/planes...those small universal remote controls,those strong earth magnets and alike,this is just one example what people are here want,but of course my aim is more of a global market because of the lack of infrastructure in mine.
So i dont see a problem in finding what to sell i think the problem is,where do i get the things i want to sell ?
If i open a eCommerce site,setup the site,connect the payment gateway i get to a point i cant do anything because i dont have products...So my question to you is,how do i find good drop shipping companies and suppliers of goods ?

where to source ?
Where u buy the RC ? source from them, talk to them, nego .... not one will do the talking for you .....
Start from making 1 dollar per sale, gain some experience, then get better source make more money.
Google is ur best friend to do business.

Business won't grow in a day and money ain't easy to earn.

I do know that the point of business is to find these things out and work hard developing your venture,if it werent like that,everyone would be successful

Tips :
" Learn Business ", that really no shot cut in business world, everything is related to your experience .....
Why somany ppl fail in e-commerce ? cause they don't treat it as a business, most ppl think web/internet is easy money, to be frank it have no different (might be more difficult) .....

If u gain enough experience u can try purchase ur stuff from Alibaba (cheap) but u does need good negotiating skill and understand who u dealing with ....
