Paying People To Complete Your Projects

Maybe you are in the same position as me?

We have a bunch of web projects in our heads but no time to work on them.

So maybe the answer is to pay a contractor to do it and pick up the pieces later?

For example, you can create a document describing exactly what you want to achieve and get some dude on Fiver.com or elance or whatever to do the work.

Has anyone done this and not got their idea stolen?

I guess that I would pay around $200 to get a month's work done.

I was thinking the same since I just saw someone offered his services here for $3 per hour. That's damned cheap, the only thing that scares me is that you're absolutely unsure if they're just watching p*rn or doing what they should.

Paying a good amount for a complete project should work, but asking someone reliable will cost way much more, or going for someone like the guy from India will work too, but is that reliable enough? I think it's worth trying out, but I'd try it for smaller projects only

Jon Jonas has been plugging his service of Phillipino workers that will work for like $200 a month. Maybe per hour is too granular? I would rather have workers that are in a creative mode and not pushed for results per hour.

i usually work for some webmaster since2006 andat first ididn't get what they're up to when they want us to list links and some column details in spreadsheet. but i did figure it out when i ask in some forums..

i'm a filipino by the way. ideas won't be stolen when you separate what people have to do.
say a bunch of them just have t do some kind and another bunch of them has to do something else. making sure they don't knoweach other will help

True, but the total costs for the project might be cheaper when you pay them hourly instead of for the total project. But ofcourse that variates from project to project.

By the hour just doesn't seem like its worth the pain less you have your own office with yourself or an office manager wrangling the help...by distance and I would have to have some check point on quality of service delivery for me.

i hire people in fiverr all the time, dont outsource a big chunk to a single person . give out small parts to different people and micromanage , so even if someone fails to deliver you are still on the safer side.

I have hired several local people to do some work for me. I prefer to hire locally, as I can monitor them. When the worker is 1000 miles away, you have no idea what you are really paying for. The job may just take 8 hours, but you may end up paying for 16 hours.

If the person is reputable (itrader, long time member, etc), then I would give it a shot.
