That is the problem with a lot of my sites where I have not been able to give THEM the proper attention. All of Google's antics have left me unmotivated to put dozens of hours into a site that will likely never again make as much money as it once did. But when I've already put so much time (hundreds of hours) into a site, it is not worthwhile to sell it at the current value.

Sometimes you can get more for selling the domain name at auction than the entire site.

    Hi,

I was thinking that and take the content and putting it on another site. What is PR 4 worth? If sold that way.

A PR 4 site is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. There aren't very many people looking for sites based up PR, because PR doesn't have the value that it once did. Another thank you to Google.

You can have a PR4 site that drives zero Google traffic because it is penalized by Penguin due to crappy link building. Proven traffic and income are the price drivers.

Google has destroyed billions of dollars of value on the web.

True Sami, not too many website buyers today interested in the page rank.
It is content, possible revenue, and visitors.

  5. Flippa is best due to the much bigger audience and lots more buyers than other places, however if it's a small site it might not be worth all the fees, so list on forums for free instead.

It's hard to sell a site without consistent revenue, so make sure you have some and check that stats are in order to present to potential buyers - proper traffic and revenue details.

  6. Can anyone tell me how high are fees on Flippa exactly and how big of a price does the site have to have in order for it to worth selling there? I assume flippa is much safer than selling on forums if the site is very valuable?

    Check their site mate
    https://flippa.com/pricing

I still prefer to sell on forums, but if it would be for a big website I might consider Flippa..

The prices are not cheap unless you have a site that is worth a lot of money.
