What would be the best way to send money from India to Philippines?

(Western Union is not an option for sending money from India).

Xoom.com is a good option but the charges are bit higher. You can even send the money in local currency there (Peso I guess)

Xoom is reliable for sending money from India and other countries. It is a good alternative to WU that delivers money to sender at his doorstep.

They don't need any bank account. But a valid IP proof and the code that you will give them after you send money. You will receive that code in email.

You can send money through credit card or paypal.

I tried Xoom today.

It accepts payments only from credit cards and debit cards issued in US.

Paypal option is no longer available.

Did you tried sending payment through PayPal? That should save time for both of you.

Bank to bank transactions is possible, but could require more time.

A three way transaction is also an option, but can be complicated. Send your money through paypal to peers in another country and ask them to Xoom the money to the Philippines. I have tried this to someone I know who is in Korea.

Whats wrong with Paypal? Is the issue with the "personal payment" still in effect?
