Stealing content... seriously?

I swear that content scrapers never learn. This one goes far beyond anything I've seen.

Everyone here is pretty familiar with my blog located at:
Make Money Online | Running Online Business

Take a hard look at it.
Examine the list of categories on the lower right side, look at some of the post titles.

Now, take a look here:
hxxp://onlinegetsmoney.blogspot.com/

See any similarities? Of course you do! They replicated my blog and it's content! They even went so far as to download images I used in posts, as well as files I made available for download, and put them on their blog using file hosting sites like mediafire and rapidshare. Did they change the content? At least try to hide it? Nope. It's an exact replica.

So, what did I do? Well, I filed a DMCA Notice with Blogger, of course. I'm sure the infringing content will be removed shortly. "Thanks for reporting this possible Terms of Service violation. We will examine it soon and take action as necessary." But what would make a person think that they could get away with just copying my entire blog?

Sometimes the stupidity of people astounds me.

I saw this in the newest plugins feed from wordpress WordPress › Houdini WordPress Plugins You might wanna check that out..

I don't think it will help much with bot based scrapers though but you never know.

I'd guess that it was scammers that were trying to flip the duplicated site.

This won't really help with anything but annoy users - it's alright to copy a little content (to quote you). And anybody planning on stealing all of your content would be an idiot not to know how to circumvent that - and easily too.

Kovich are you surprise?

One time I found one of my entire article duplicated on a Yahoo blog or personal page. I asked kindly to the person to remove the article and did not have any answer, then take it down by DMCA.

The funny thing is that the person duplicated my article with the internal links lol

Anyway I hope they will fix the scrap problem for you asap.

Honestly, I'm not surprised at all. This seems to happen quite regularly - people constantly steal entire posts of mine... but I've never had almost my entire site replicated in one place before, so that part does surprise me. So, the only thing I can do is just keep sending out those DMCA Notices and wait for the content to be taken down. Fortunately, it only takes a minute of my time.

I love when content thieves leave internal links in-tact. =P It's always quite funny.

That seems like it could create problems with users trying to legitimately copy information.

Plus, can't it be circumvented by just copying the text from the source code?

He copied all but my most recent posts. :P
And, I don't think there were any backlinks!
But whoever made this blog neglected to remove references back to my site... just... they weren't in URL form.

most of them use script to grab ur content (without read the complete post), so next time write some thing funny(+some link) and hide it in the article ...
