    Will outsourcing services disappear?

I remember when Google hammered the directories hard and most of us suffered the consequencies. Now that most all businesses online are hammered hard, I am wondering if not only e-commerce owners will go out of business, but also all of the outsourcing companies or freelancers working for the online businesses.

It could affect many more industries like SEO companies, copywriters, link builders, marketing companies, directories, etc.

It is laughable that Google did that for the purpose of "officially increasing quality" of their index, when the same spammers are still there.

So my question is: Do you think the new Google policy will make the outsourcing services and sites dissappear along with e-commerces?

What new google policy are you talking about?

Outsourcing services will always be available - as long as people in undeveloped nations need work, outsourcing will continue.

Just look at dell and the way they outsource the support centers. Then there are the people who are educated in english speaking schools, and then start offering a writing services.

There is an interesting thread on the warrior forum about what kind of article would you buy for $20. Some people said $20 was high, while others said it was a good price.

The underlying condition was how good the article is.

Yahoo news contracts out its articles to the associated press, I dont think yahoo outsourcing its articles is going to hurt it.

I am reffering to the new Google "quality policy" (May Day), because that's what they try to make us beleive really.

Outsourcing services doesn't mean necessarily outsourcing overseas

Basically I was asking what the members think about outsourcing service job destructions by Google.

I also agree that outsourcing will always be available. "Outsourcing" something doesn't necessarily mean poor quality.
I don't see Google or any search engine discounting sites that used outsourced services.

With Yahoo's acquisition of Associated Content, Yahoo appears to be pushing hard towards a strategy of outsourcing content creation to the lowest bidders.

I think the Associated Content is a good place to be discovered as a writer or as a small business. A talented lady wrote about our business and she did a great work at:

I guess you're right, outsourcing will never die, but it could be reduced if e-commerce are out of business or if many sites disappear.

So if many sites disappear (which I don't agree with), then many more will pop up and the outsourcers will still be getting the business.

I believe that the changes in the algorithm will be valuable to the searcher and the smart marketers are realizing this. They want the most valuable sites at the top and eventually that's what you'll find.

The only sites I've heard of getting hit from May Day is the sites with only 5-10 pages of content designed to promote a product. Real sites with a lot of content are doing better than ever or saw very little change.
