And do you feel teenius give you more earning than to do flipping/proxies business? Because teenius is just single blog, and i know the rate of advertise on yout blog is just $10 (125x125 ads). How you monetize it more? I find only direct ads and some adsense. I'm sure adsense give you not too much.
As of yet, the earning has been minimal. But now the blog is starting to get more successful, I will be advertising harder over the next month to make my adverts worth more. Adsense has only got me a few dollars, yes, but I only put it there to fill the space anyway.

Anyway, overall, my blog will be worth a lot by the time I sell it because of the amount of content that's been posted and the new design (which is amazing). I don't plan to sell the blog in the near future, but when I do, it should bring me a healthy sum.
Oh man, you will also will flip teenius? Do you have fixed blog of you which you'll never sell? If people know that you're always selling all things you create, they'll think all you do until now is just for money.
I advice you to make your own blog, and never sell it.
Anyway i would like to the other to write their journey. Until now, it's just look like my interview to simon ha2x
I think you missed my point (completely).
I was saying that Teenius is here to stay, but in the long term the investment I've made in it is a good one. No, Teenius is not for sale, and, no, I don't intend to sell Teenius.
Even if there is an interesting offer? For example, how if i'm buy teenius for $10,000 ? Hehe...Good, i hope you keep the decision on making teenius is become your eternal blog :D
Ok, in way to make this thread more interesting, how about list some unforgettable/important moment (sad/good) on your journey? Here is mine :
- Get my PP account blocked on 9 Jan 2009
- Get a hundred visitor in a month by because just 1 article. Believe me, try to open http://startingfrom20.blogspot.com and the latest article is so popular and listed no.3 in serp for keyword "chip 666 12 mei 2009"
- Get some prizes from many contest. And i'm invest it to the business, and the rest is used to buy a guitar
- Become adsense consultant when i'm not run adsense business. It's really happen...if you wanna proof, i can give you :P
I think if someone was to offer me $10k it'd be hard to resist, as the main reason for starting the blog was to be able to afford a nice car for when I begin to drive, but for the time being I'm keeping it as I can't see an offer like that coming up ;)
Yes, but if your site already asked for $10,000, that's mean there is something valuable on your site. Don't directly sell it with $10,000, you need to wait and try to offer higher price or sell it on sitepoint etc...with BIN > $10,000
the time will come. As you said in other thread, motivation and hard work please :D
My "MMO" story? Ugh.
Needed a Job. Applied to Dunkin Doughnuts. Denied.
Had extra domain, setup a portfolio...thingy.
Looked around on webmaster-talk. Got a job writing help documentation for a video game graphics engine.
Got some design jobs. Made maybe $600 total.
Built Diligent Design. Sold it 9 months later for $70.
Sold Ripped Edge for $35.
Bought outstandingwriter.com domain, was asked to do writing for 0.01/word.
Raised prices to $10/article. Made maybe $300 (so far).
Misc. Advertising profits: $30?
Misc. "Odd Job" profits: $100.
The key to success? Do a bunch of favors for $15. It adds up ;)
I really gotta learn to save my money though :P.
What do you mean by odd job, sneaky :D ? Do you mean it's just like freelancing, contest price, etc?
From your MMO story, i know your field is in design business and writing, right? Do you planning to stay in that field or wanna try another MMO?
Thanks for participating giving us your journey story
I know it'll get worth more and more, but like I said the whole idea of MMO was to be able to afford a nice car, so I'll need $10-20,000 for that. Therefore, if I got an offer that high I'd probably sell. But, I can't see that happening in the near future.
