    Your MMO story/journey

I find there is no thread about this topic yet.

My assumption is mostly member here is do internet business. And of course, not all is newbie anymore. So tell me your story about your newbie era/when your start to do internet business.

I'm not newbie anymore since i'm already in this business on 2007, but decide to take it seriously in beginning of 2008. I'm already learn many thing and feel black and white on internet business. I wanna tell my story on beginning 2008 when i'm start to seriously do this business.

In my country, there is not too many internet business on 2008. So, there is only a bit place to asking about internet MMO program such adsense, selling e-book, etc..My first project is product creation, and i'm buying an e-book about it which cost me $20. And i'm start to practicing the lesson included such research market, choose niche, etc...Feel that this kind of business is so boring, i'm start to learn adsense but i find adsense is no longer profitable since there is already full of publisher. Failed in learning and doing 2 previous business, make me think, is there any easiest way to earn? Then i find "get paid to" program such PTR and PTC. PTR is need website/blog so i'm not play it. I choose PTC as my business. In the first, it's hard to earn from PTC since the most important thing on PTC is consistency of clicking ads and making refferal as much as you can. But i have a chance to buy 100 refferals on vipbux which cost me $60, the money is earning from contest prize.
So bad for me, when my revenue is reach $80 and i wanna withdraw, vipbux is become scam. I'm already contact paypal to refund but it's useless. This is hurt for me....
After stop play PTC because i'm become skeptical again, i'm start to sell DVD on my local forum. It's not bad and i'm happy. My project in selling DVD is still run until now.
Except sell DVD, i'm try to earn by freelancing as forum poster or complete the offer. Until now...

That's my internet business journey. Maybe not cool :P but it's the truth. I'm still have a long way to reach success in MMO.

Now, your turn to tell me your story or opinion for my experience.
    Thanks....

*Sigh* I've written/spoken so much about this the last few days it's ridiculous. Still, I suppose one more time won't hurt.

    I wanted some money.
My friend told me about proxies.
I started some proxies, making around $5/day
Wanted to advertise, so searched on forums
    Discovered blogging
    Starting blogging
    Started blog flipping
    Started affiliate
    Ended affiliate
    Sold everything
    Started Teenius.com

There If you're interested, I did an interview the other day (podcast), so I'll post the link up when I'm live so that you can get to know me/my MMO journey a bit better

But reading about ended affiliate make me think that you failed in building this business?

Yeah, affiliate never really worked out for me. I did, however, forget to put in that I was a freelance writer at one stages. My low point was when my Paypal was locked, thus locking money that I'd worked hard for a month for.

And, the podcast isn't on the web yet, but when it is I'll post it up

Like I mentioned in the other thread, it's now too late to get my money back. Oh well, it's not that much to be honest.

And, regarding blog flipping v affiliate, in my opinion affiliate is WAY harder. You not only need to build a website, but you also need to drive high quality traffic that will convert. With blog flipping, you just post some articles, get some traffic and you're done.

    Wrong

In affiliate you don't need to make a site, because you can redirect it into the original site (of course using your affiliate ID included)
But in flipping, if you want to sell well, you need not only get traffic then sale, but the content excist should be good, the topic is niche, and you need to make a people sure that the site will earn them a money if their monetize it.

But i can't say too much since you're already feel with your ownself running this business.

To make any real amount of affiliate sales, you need to advertise your link on popular sites in your niche, and, in my opinion, the best way of doing this is to make your own site and make it the best in the niche, as your competitors in that niche will probably have an affiliate link for the product anyway, so they won't want to put yours on the site as well.

but how about to redicrect it, and invesrt with adword. It's more simple but effective (but don't forget to learn adword strategy first)

Anyway what do you mean about sold everything before make teenius?
Do you mean sell all blog (flipping) and also with your proxy business?

Seeing your journey, wow it's all big business. Do you ever try some little business online such GPT program or become forum poster etc...?

In the very early days I did a bit of forum posting/article writing so that I could afford the domains/hosting for my proxies, but other than that I've done what I listed above.

When I say I sold everything, at the time I was running 12 proxies and 3 sites. I sold the proxies for around $40 and the sites for around $300 in total. I have invested around two thirds of that in Teenius (so far), and the other money has been funding hosting/advertising space.
