Thread: Which is your prefered payment processor?

I lost $250 in the first instance and $100 in the second. Not crazy amounts of money, but I worked quite hard as a writer to earn it, so I was angry as you can imagine.

Another problem I've encountered with Paypal is the chargeback system. They'll always support the buyer, so unless you have proof you sent the item and they received it, the buyer will get their money back. When you sell domains, they can take the domain then ask for a chargeback via Paypal, although this only seems to happen with Godaddy.

If i'm become yours, maybe i'm already mad and cry, $250 in my country is so big amount, you can eat on mcD 100x with that.
Yeah, since i'm already have a problem with PP also, maybe you asking, why i'm still using it?
I have no choice is my answer...

If i'm stop using PP because my problem, i can get crazy because mostly people is using it. So, that's mean internet business without paypal is so hard. That's why i have no other choice and ended up by making account again.

If there is another payment processor is like paypal, which many people use it, i'll surely stop using PP.

Definately. Paypal are in the position to effectively abuse people, because they know people have no other real alternative. What I mean by that is that they can do whatever they want, because no matter how many people they annoy, they'll always have more people coming back to give it another shot.

So, it can't be helped? I hope alertpay is grown more better than now. I find alertpay is start to move paypal position. And if the time is already come (AP become used by many people), i will move to AP.

that's the weakness of monopoly...we can said what PP doing now is a monopoly. Using their power to do anything, and didn't cre who is wrong and right..

In my opinion, I never heard of any other payment processor as efficient, widely used and supported as Paypal.

@Simon: Maybe you had issues with them and I understand your frustration, but surely there is a way you can get your money back?

I need to add my bank account/debit card details. At the time of the account being locked, I had neither, so couldn't really do much about it, and I think the accounts have been permanently locked now because it's taken me so long.

Anyway, technically I was breaking the rules because I'm underage, but they had no way of knowing that so were basically just screwing me over. Still, I'm just putting it down as a character building experience

You're telling me you didn't have a bank account, but how do you expected to get your money back then? :P

If I were you, I would ytry to see if you can unlock your accounts before giving up.

- invoices --> i'm not using any invoice for my transaction, how can i give it
- cc statement - in that time i'm using VCC
- citizen card - avaialble
- proof of address - available

It's need about many time for me to mail and explain about my case but in the end, the result is the worst, my acc still locked. And also, my english is make me more hard to explain

Mo, I never had any problem with PayPal, yet. But hey, I never said it wasn't hard to get your accounts back...

I believe you did not help yourself though. You should have use a real credit card instad of a virtual one, which is safer and simplier. Plus, you would have had all the proof of payments needed.

Yeah, I plan to connect my bank account details in the next few days. Either way, I'm under 18, so it might not work.

And, regarding your first point, I was building up the money and then I was going to buy something, or, if it wasn't available, deposit the money into my parents' Paypal (verified) so that it was safe. The problem was, I hadn't told my parents that I was MMO at that time.
