If you start a forum, does the founder of the forum need to know how to code? like HTML or CSS? i think the best that the founder should know how to code a bit at least.
but i like coding, coding is fun but hard to learn.

I dont know coding very well but the other admins on manutdbuzz know coding one works in the buisness so he can code in minutes what it takes the other admin a few hours to do.
It would be a good thing if they knew how to code, so they can install mods or change the design.
Doesn't make sense.......a contractor that is building houses uses sub-contractors to do the "hard " stuff.....a forum owner can do the same....

I don't know coding really (well some HTML and that's it) and I can install mods without any problems
To answer the original question though, I don't think it's necessary but it's definitely a good skill to have.
I dont think an owner has to know coding. I dont, but it is nice to know simple html, and how to install modifications.

As long as you know the basic link and link with image HTML codes, you will be fine. I personally find it frustrating when people "ask for the code" for a graphic. It doesn't show much skill or research from that admin which may be a member on another forum.
I know basic HTML, so am normally fine. If anything ever needs to be done, i have friends for that.![]()
Depends on the site. For my teen forums, I didn't really need to but it was useful as it meant I could include a customised home page and change a few things in the postbit etc.
