do you allow members to advertise their forum on your forum? in what way?
i allow members to have a link in their signature, and there is a specific forum for links (only if they link back to us on their forum in some way), and every 2 weeks i choose two of these to be added to the links at the top of the forum
i do not allow advertising in any other parts on the forum, and i dont approve of pm advertising (it says not to in the rules, although there is no way i can enforce that unless members report getting spam messages).
all links advertised on the forum must not contain anything illegal or anything that is unsuitable for the younger members of the forum

I allow sig links on all my forums. Only requirement, which is only used to curtail spammers, is you have to be an active member with 3 posts prior to adding a sig.
I also have IP.Links installed for users to add their links. On Just BS I have one forum for links.

I allow signature advertisements, and use of the Home Page URL field of the profile. I do not have a forum for advertising, and don't care to have one.

I allow non-profit sites in signature and profile page and on-topic links to sites.

I have a forum specific for advertising. This is for both of my forums.

I'm usually pretty relaxed on what people link to but I do have some general rules:
- Never post a link with less than 6 posts, and your first day active.
- Never commercial sales posts
- No competing forums unless it's 100% relevant to the subject
- No spam
I have the Links directory mod installed here as well where anyone can their sites if they'd like a back link from here.

I allow 3 links in signatures with a maximum of two to external sites. If I ever hae a problem with a user and their links I PM them about it.

I submitted to the directory but my submission isn't showing up. Was it rejected or is it just waiting to be approved?
