Every forum has competition, regardless of what genre. Of course if its one about yourself then you may not have too much related competition, but every forum does have competition.

my website, it is a posting service has one claiming to be the cheapest on the web, i have just beaten all of their prices, my 2 forums have 2 each. lol
My teen site had loads of competitors which made it very hard. My future 360 site will too, but that's not so bad I don't think.
