No, I don't care what the offense. Though, depending on the Rules I set up on the forums.

    Example:

Spamming twice is two warnings then a 5-6 Day Ban. Then of course I will let them come back.

Though if they hack, they are host banned VIA Webhost.

That's kind of a silly question, although every forum administrator is different. My point of view, if people are on a permanent ban, they stay banned, no questions asked, incident forgotten about, and everything, although if it's a matter of a temporary ban, then yes, I will let them back on for a second or third chance.

If your banned it's because you couldn't get your act together and continued causing problems. What should make me feel your not going to do it again? If your banned you stay banned. No question.

That is the problem with some people. I'm sorry but this is actually true, people won't ban/report any of their own friends. Because they don't want to look like the bad guy. If you want to keep your forums up, and stay successful. Then I would do it at any cost. That doesn't mean, I'm going to change or be mean to anyone after that. I'm would treat everyone the same, just as I do my friends. Everyone is equal on my forums, they understand friend or not they know the consequences.

I don't do that either. Well, actually I may give them Donator or something. Though staff member, they aren't going to get in anytime, that is of course if they earn it. :P

If they continue to ask though, their going to be banned obviously.
..Banned users return to your forum after awhile I guess? :P
Coincidentally, I recently answered this question at another forum. I hope I may get away with quoting it here, as I'd like to share here, too:

Only two members were banned since my forum was founded in 2004.

One member got into a heated argument with two others about vitamins, and he contacted my fellow administrator, Saint, in private to demand a ban. Saint didn't take the demand seriously, and pointed out to the member that he could leave whenever he wants. Instead, that member said he would do everything he could to earn a ban, so Saint decided not to add to his workload.

Another member made it his mission, on Jesus' behalf, to undermine the forum. After a while, he got particularly irritable (e.g., starting sockpuppets to give him the means to make snark remarks about the forum, and posting replies just so he could make jabs at members), so staff decided to stop its source.

That said, the staff, including me, have never banned as a means to straighten out a member; it has always been a permanent last resort.
When it comes to that first person who was banned, I get a laugh every time about how my fellow admin, Saint, described the incident in the forum history.

    Regards,

    Kevin

He gives like a One Page description about the banned username. That is something I could never do. 0.0
