Default Good Reading on Community Building

Martin Reed's Community Spark is a good site for community building tips.

Our own Jasonp has recently launched Forum Promotion, which looks like a very promising contribution to this topic.

What do you read to give you ideas and motivation to build your online community?

Default Ten Tips for Promoting Your Forum

GeeOne showed me 10 Tips for Promoting Your Forum at SEORefugee.

It's a pretty nice article with some good common sense advice.

It's companion article, Top Ten Lessons I've Learned About Managing an Online Forum is also well worth reading.

Good basic pointers for starting your forum. I like how he mentions having a blog and a forum, because that is exactly what I have done.

I also like how "Be Unique" is listed as #1. Because you have to be different and you have to be unique.

but in the end, the article just repeats what has already been posted all over the internet.
