How Can I Get My Visitors To Join And Post? Celeb Pic Forum

ive been posting everyday for a year and a half and have 500 to 1000 EVERYDAY on my site, 80% of which are unique visitors and i have 2 members that come on once in awhile. what can i do to have people want to join and be a part of my community. i dont want to do contests, what are some things that mite make want people to join. theyre all coming from other forums so they are people who want to talk to other people and post, all my traffic comes from The Internet Movie Database which is a forum. people love to talk about celebs, what theyre wearing or whatever, ive been visiting sites for years and theres tons of people.

Get people to read and think, and then comment.

How about giving members dofollow signature links. There's lots of celebrity site owners looking to promote their sites.

Probably that depends upon the topic of the forum. I really don't like those threads here, but if I was running a celebrity forum I would love threads like that.

Back on topic.
If you are getting 500+ unique visitors per day, and no members out of that, you should take a careful look at how long those visitors stick around and where they go on your forum.
Then look at your forum, and your forum categories.
Maybe you need more categories? Or a drop of some categories?

And make it easy for people to join by making it hard to miss a sign up banner on your forum.

Or a possibility here:
dump the forum, make it a celebrity site or blog?
