Thread: Most bizarre excuse

What's the most bizarre excuse you've ever seen a staff member come up with for leaving?

    Come on, sir! Play fair!

If you start a thread with a question, you should give us something to read. Either a story of your own, or particular reasons for asking.

One of my fellows had to leave. He often had to work late, with just a woman and himself alone in the office. His jealous wife made it impossible for him to stay. (By the time we understood the problem, the damage was already done.)

The funny thing was that his wife was 30-ish and very pretty. The woman he was staying late with, lovely though her personality was, was in her 60's and rather fat. Jealousy really is irrational!

Fair enough to be honest, I used to always post my own story/opinion in the original post but recently to make starting topics quicker I haven't so much.

Anyway for me the most bizarre one was on a forum I was staff on rather then the owner. A fellow staff member didn't leave but claimed his activity levels would be reduced because he was going to go the gym and lose weight

I had one saying his pc was broken and could not get a new one but was posting the next day on other sites, when confronted he said he had fixed it

Haha thats sad XD In fact while Im thinking about that, this did occur to me too. I had a staff member leave my forum due to not being active, but I see him on everyday on another forum.

My friend told me of a time when someone resigned because they turned blind.

    He worked on Digital Point.

Never had any staff leave for odd reasons really. Once one left because they didn't like the new forum software...
