MyBB best mod and plugin's collection

    Hi All,

I am willing to start a new discussion forum using MyBB.

just wanted to ask the opinion of the experts about what do they think should be the mods and plugins that should be installed by default or that should be added to enhance the features of the forum.

  2. I shared my thoughts on this in another thread of yours.
You do have a lot of threads...

    ya thanks for the update.

so i should refrain from MyBB in case i want to expand to a large userbase as that could be a potential problem.

so better to stick with SMF or PhpBB.

But still i will keep this thread open so that others who actually would like to work on MyBB anyways will be able to get a good list of plugin's I hope.

No,but you know...If you need a free solution that looks like vBulletin and don't need every function high-end forum software has to offer,it's a nice script.

I am using MyBB and didn't need to install any plugins. It worked fine out of the box for me.

I think that plugins should only be used for customization purposes such as to insert Ads.

Personally, I think we should try to avoid installing plugins wherever possible since they all pose a security risk. Also, I figured out how to code my own MyBB pluigin for Ads so it is my problem if the script breaks.

I agree that plugin at times slow down the installation.

but what i am looking for is a list of added functionality so that i can then custom code my single plugin or just hack the core to add the functinalities.

which i am doing in wordpress already.

Top of the list for me would be a plugin that avoids displaying index.php which the standard install does.

Also, replace the URLs with thread title text for seo.
