Okay, I need some advice. I have this Admin account on my forum, which I use for posting secretly. So, basically no one knows that I'm this Admin guy. I use that to my advantage most of the time.

So, I decided to test my most trusted moderator, and see what he would do. If he was offered an Admin account... Here was the conversation.

Hey, since you've been doing a great job as Moderator and I'm unable to post as much. Would you like to have access to my account? You could come on and use it if you need to Admin anything.

Uh sure.

Thanks.

But wait, wouldn't chaos get onto us?

Wouldn't it be easier to just make this account an admin? (Not trying to sound power hungry, excuse me if I do)

I'm not sure if Chaos is a big bother. And, if you're trying to keep away from Chaos randomly being promoted to Admin will help.

[Moderator] Wrote:

Eh true. I guess this'll have to do for now.

Okay let me go find what my password was. I wrote it down somewhere...

Maybe you should change it so you keep your personal password well personal.

Then, I set him the changed Admins password. So, basically they 'kept that from me'. So, I'm deciding where I should take this. Because, I ran some tests (once he had Black Hawks account) and he still never told me. He just said he'd 'ask' the Admin to do stuff for him. And, of course I played along.

Please post your comments on this, and what you think I should do. Feel free to share stories as well!

Note: I understand this was a set up, but if that account was a real Admin and that happened. I may never have known it. I also wanted to see how much he is willing to tell me before the line is drawn. I plan to do it with more staff now, because I want to test exactly how much they will tell me. And, exactly how much I should trust them....
