Text Speak/abbreviations

How do you deal with text speak & abbreviations in posts on your forum?







If it's not understandable, it's very annoying and chances are it will be removed. Abbreviations are generally not too bad though.

It's annoying when it's over used but generally I don't mind people using it in posts.

I don't mind it, but for those who don't know the abbreviations I guess it could be hard to understand them.

As an Ex-Admin and Mod of many places, 'txt spk' is one of the most annoying things possible. It doesn't look good, it makes the place look tacky and half-hearted... it needs to be cut out asap.

I would translate it then send the user a PM regarding poor post quality.
