    Friends,

Excellent leadership qualities are essential for any moderator. He must be in control of any situation and yet very friendly. He must Never show arrogance and power hungr. Always welcome new suggestions and criticism. These are few things I would like to see in any moderator.

A moderator must feel no remorse. Deleting posts when necessary, banning members when necessary and warning people about their behavior when necessary.

He/she should also have self control and not take advantage of their situation by deleting posts they do not agree on, banning members for crappy reasons or enforcing silly rules.

Finally, they must have a fun personality and be an active member by participating regularly on the forum.

NON BIASED, should understand the situation carefully, one who doesn't loses temper and of course welcomes suggestions and complaints!

For me, the most important quality in a moderator might be predictability.

It requires a huge amount of trust to give someone that level of control over something as sensitive as an online community. Building that level of trust requires being able to predict that persons responses in the wide range of situations a moderator has to deal with.

I think the he/she should be approachable and easy to interact.

And he/she should be soft and simple in language most of the time (agree it is not always possible), I must say I have seen this quality in Will.

IMO it is very certain that you can not find all the qualities mentioned here as no body is perfect.

Nobody's perfect and everything has exception. In this case, Will is the exception :P He is the 'perfect' Admin/Mod

P.S. I am sure aquarezz would agree to this. You listening buddy?
