MyBB

So, recently MyBB seems to have overtaken phpBB.







I haven't used it personally but for all you MyBB users, how has it improved so much?

MyBB is way more simple than phpBB. It's easy to install mods with MyBB. Plus MyBB 1.6 will be released soon with lots of cool new features.

I'm currently trying MyBB out on my venture at y-helo-thar.com and it seems to be alright, easy to use, easy to skin, lots of interesting mods for it!

I wouldn't agree it's overtaken it at all, there is a lot of massive forums around that are on phpBB and only rare big ones on myBB.







I have tried installing it for someone once, and found it really confusing with the permissions, with phpBB it's a few clicks.

Mybb is my forum software of choice. Its simple and easily customizable. Also, the new version comming out soon will be even better.

phpbb offers many more mods and themes for phphbb forums, if mybb have the same amount or more mods and skins for mybb forums i would use it instead of phpbb...

I really like myBB, it's my second favourite software.

I like mybb. It's easy to use and installs mods well.



Only problem is it doesn't have that much mods and the themes are pretty bad.



That's why I prefer phpbb.

I prefer phpBB over MyBB. They don't really last long.

MyBB is too basic. I also hate skins of myBB, there isn't any good ones. There isn't a lot of selection of mods either. The software is ok itself, but too basic for me.
