I know for sure that my writing has improved drastically ever since I started blogging. Has your writing improved? This definitely supports the fact that writing is about practice.
Since I started blogging, I don't like my writing style anymore It might be better but since than I'm using "I" too much instead of just talking without using me, myself & I
I agree. My style of writing and getting into conversations has changed a lot since i started blogging.
But can't totally stand with blogging as the complete reason. As i have been a member of various forums and used to post a lot, which also helped for the same.
I agree, though. My writing style has changed since I started blogging regularly. I can definitely tell a difference. That's why I started a personal blog without the "professional" limitations.
As far as blogging, I think my writing style has actually been simplified. If I use big words, people won't understand my content, even though my vocabulary uses some unorthodox language at times. I found while writing papers for school, I scaled my level down to like 8th grade skills instead of 11th.
Learning not to let blogging deter your writing skills is extremely important.
Not only does blogging help you with content writing, but also any kind of writing. Sometimes at work I will just think about things on my mind and jot down a little bit about them, just to get a good amount of writing in for the day.
There are many ways other your writing can imporve, I think blogging is the last way !
The idea doesnot have to be big. It just has to be yours
Blogging has not really helped me. I do not see how one can improve by reading their own stuff.
But reading other things (BOOKS!!!! PRINTED MATERIALS!) is a great way to improve your writing.
@Sneaky By blogging I thought your own stuff. And instead of reading other blogs, as you said, I rather read books.
