    Getting in the "zone"

    Hey guys.

I know that some people really struggle finding ideas for blog posts and then actually sitting down and writing them is even worse!

So, what methods do you use to get into the "writing zone" where the content just seems to flow?

Personally I grab a cup of tea and try to focus only on the article. I find that if I start doing things inbetween paragraphs, I lose my flow and end up writing badly.

    What about you?

  2. - Grab a red-bull.
    - Sign off MSN.
    - Close my eyes and relax.
    - I just start to write and somehow things flow then.

Most of the time I have the music on in my house and sometimes I can't actually write with Basshunters and DJ Tiesto :P So I turn it off.

I try to write when I am alone in the house.

I prefer to wake up in the early morning with a cup of coffee assist me. that is a time when i'm in mood to write and nobody can disturb me since their are still sleeping. And also, it's with turn on classical music from chopin.

Music, music, and more music. I also find that cleaning helps to put me in the working mindset. Is it weird that I love cleaning?

Personally music doesn't really help me. I prefer to work in silence so that I can really focus fully on the article than my mind going along to the song lyrics/beat.

I only work in silence if I need to stop and get a feeling for what exactly I want to do. I find music is inspiring, but the words in the lyrics can skew your creativity sometimes.

As for me, I like to write at the end of a day because more than often, I have seen stuff during the day that will get me inspired. I like to write, so no need for music and such stuff, just a berverage sometime...

Getting inspiration from life is what I do as well! I find Dr. Pepper to be the most inspiring of beverages :P I don't think "inspiration" is necessarily for those who don't enjoy writing, but rather just the moment when the urge to write strikes.

Ok it's your way to get in zone, but quite strange here to know that you get in the zone when the end of day. Do you mean by "the end of the day" is in a midnight or after working and come back home?

Because that 2 time is commonly a time when people so tired. After working, you're tired. In a midnight, you're already yawn.
